Started by Abel Namureba, a passionate advocate for financial inclusion and blockchain adoption in Africa, StableDesk was born out of a vision to make digital finance more accessible, transparent, and locally relevant.

Abel’s journey in the fintech space spans years of hands-on leadership and regional impact. As the former Country Manager for Yellow Card Uganda, one of Africa’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges, he worked on the frontlines of crypto adoption—bridging global blockchain innovations with the real financial needs of Ugandans. From introducing Bitcoin to first-time users to navigating regulatory complexities, Abel witnessed both the transformative power and the challenges of digital currencies in everyday life.

But something was missing: a trusted, local voice to explain, interpret, and contextualize the fast-moving world of crypto and digital finance for African audiences. That gap is what led him to create StableDesk—a platform designed not just to report the news, but to shape informed conversations around Web3, stablecoins, DeFi, and the future of money in East Africa.

Eric Mulungi brings close to a decade of experience in the digital asset industry, where he has been at the forefront of expanding digital asset adoption, acquiring clientele, and delivering world-class customer support. His expertise lies in driving liquidity, cultivating strong client relationships, and leading teams that consistently meet and exceed growth targets.

As Chief Business Officer at StableDeskUG, Eric is responsible for business development, client acquisition, and operational strategy, playing a central role in positioning StableDeskUG as Uganda’s leading hub for stablecoins and digital assets. He has a proven track record of supervising teams, aligning business objectives, and ensuring client satisfaction, which has been key in building trust with both corporate and retail partners.
